Activity 2: What instruments does a pilot use to control the movement of an airplane and where are they located?
-Research online
-List the basic controls of an aircraft and their purpose.
-Using knowledge of the instrument panel controls, take a test flight in both the SR22 and F-16 in the Google Earth Flight Simulator to become familiar with controling both planes.

Activity 3: How does a plane’s structure enable it to take off, fly/suspend in the air, and land?
-Do some research on how planes are able to fly and write a brief discription on how this is possible. Place the write up under "Flight Journal"
-watch youtube flight videos for the SR22 and F-16

F-16- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LKO_pSrJRwQ

Activity 4: Apply knowledge: Complete a simulation flight with both the SR22 and F-16 through Google Earth Flight Simulator. Plan trips for both flights by incorperating several of the following locations and through Google Earth Flight Simulator, find out what airports you would use to land at the various locations:
  • Golden Gate Bridge
  • Yankee Stadium
  • Buckingham Palace
  • Sydney Opera House
  • Crater Lake
  • HowStuffWorks Office in ATL
  • Niagara Falls
  • Walt Disney World
  • Trafalgar Square
  • Eiffel Tower
After completing these flights, journal about what you believe the pros and cons are of each aircraft. What would an ideal situation be to use each model? Lastly, which model do you prefer and why? Place your responses under "Flight Journal"
